Technology IS the future... are you embracing it?
There's no doubt about it-- technology IS the future. The question is, are you embracing it? Even if you're a digital immigrant, there are plenty of user-friendly apps and sites to integrate into your daily routine. Here are a few of the resources I use and what I like about them. Each title is also a link, so try a few out!
Twitter is a great resource for both educators and students. Teachers can connect with other teachers to collaborate, share ideas, or work out new teaching strategies. Twitter is the largest-growing global PLN; if offeres opportunities to connect with educators around the world. Different discussions take place each night based on a specific topic (Mondays, 8-9 pm, is the #edtechchat-- educators are on twitter from 8-9 to discuss topics related to educational technology, such as 1:1 classrooms, flipped classrooms, etc.). Students can use twitter for a variety of reasons-- collaborating with others, connecting with different classrooms, writing in a concise manner... the possibilities are endless!
